Many years ago, I read a lovely little book written by Robert Fulghum, the title: “ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN”. It is full of analogies of how the very simple teachings we give our preschool children apply to our adult life. I highly recommend it.
Anyway… 2008 was a year full of lessons for G. Lessons of wisdom to treasure and remember forever and here they are:
- Time heals nothing… you do!
Anyway… 2008 was a year full of lessons for G. Lessons of wisdom to treasure and remember forever and here they are:
- Time heals nothing… you do!
- When you choose a behavior, you choose the consequence.
- Children are a lot wiser and resilient than what we give them credit for.
- Every gentleman is a man, but not every man is a gentleman.
- Your parents understand modern issues a lot better than you think.
- Emotional intelligence is far more important than IQ.
- Follow your heart and your gut… If they don’t match, follow your gut!
- Giving is a lot more fun than receiving.
- Sex without kisses does not count as making love.
- The night is never darker than just before dawn, you just need to hold on and be patient.
- Broken hearts are actually open hearts that are ready to let love come in.
- If you have time to poop and eat during the day, you have time to call the people you love.
- It feels better to be happy than to be right.
- Smile and be kind to everyone, it’s contagious!
- Don’t go looking for that you have not lost… you might find it.
Have a wonderful 2009!!!!
